I. Definition
Billing scenarios and plans vary across different warehouses. Some may require setting rent‑free periods, others may need custom time‑based tiered charges, and during peak seasons, additional peak‑season surcharges may apply. Manual billing is not only tedious but also prone to errors. With the Jifeng Overseas Warehouse System, you can configure rent‑free periods, peak‑season surcharges, and customized storage‑fee tiers to enable automated billing and system‑driven reconciliation. This saves labor and improves efficiency.

II. Operation Path
Fees > Billing Items > Storage Fee > Create Policy

Note:

  1. Billing Units can be selected from:

  • Cubic meters/day (m³/Day)

  • Cubic feet/day (ft³/Day)

  • Quantity/day (PCS/Day)

  • Kilograms/day (kg/Day)

  • Pounds/day (lb/Day)

  1. Storage Fee Calculation Methods:

(1) When selecting “Cubic meters/day (m³/Day)” or “Cubic feet/day (ft³/Day)”:

  • Billed volume: Total volume of goods within the age tier – any exempted volume, then rounded according to rules.

  • Storage fee = Σ (Billed volume in each age tier × (Unit price + Peak season surcharge))

    (2) When selecting “Quantity/day (PCS/Day)”:

  • Tiered billed quantity: If the actual quantity is below the tier’s minimum billing quantity, the minimum billing quantity is used; if above, the actual quantity is used.

  • Storage fee = Σ (Tiered billed quantity in each age tier × (Unit price + Peak season surcharge))

    (3) When selecting “Kilograms/day (kg/Day)” or “Pounds/day (lb/Day)”:

  • Storage fee = Σ (Total weight of goods within each age tier × (Unit price + Peak season surcharge))

  1. Storage fees are calculated daily at 00:00 (based on the account's time zone) according to the inventory data at that time.

In a warehouse, inventory is dynamic: goods are received and put away, while other items are picked and shipped out, so stock levels are constantly changing. The system uses the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) logic to determine inventory age.

Example: Storage fee is set with unit price in m³/Day. The table below shows the recent inbound/outbound activity of a product.

  • Rent-free period: 0–7 days

  • Storage fee for days 8–15: 1 yuan/m³/Day

  • Storage fee for days 16–361+: 1.5 yuan/m³/Day

  • Assume each product has a volume of 1 m³.

    Calculation is as follows:
